Government Response to the Senate Inquiry into the current state of Australia's Space Science and Industry Sector

On 19 March 2008, the Senate referred an inquiry into Australia's space science and industry sector to the Standing Committee on Economics. The Committee’s final report, Lost in Space? Setting a new direction for Australia's space science and industry sector, was released on 12 November 2008.

The Government’s response to the inquiry was tabled in the Senate on Thursday 19 November 2009.

The response incorporates the recent 2009-10 Budget announcements establishing a Space Policy Unit and the $40 million Australian Space Research Program.
