AUSROC II

The AUSROC-II class rocket is fueled by Liquid Oxygen and
Kerosene and is designed to reach an altitude of 10km. ASRI has had one
launch failure of AUSROC II-1 in 1992 and one successful launch of AUSROC
II-2 in 1995.
AUSROC II-1 was built during 1989-1992. A launch campaign was conducted
at Woomera Instrumented Range which culminated in AUSROC II-1 catching
fire on the launch pad on 22 October 1992.
AUSROC II-2 was constructed using the same design as AUSROC II-1 and
included a few modifications resulting from the analysis of the AUSROC
II-1 fire. A launch campaign was conducted at Woomera Instrumented Range
between 19/5/1995 and 27/5/1995. The campaign resulted in the successful
launch of AUSROC II-2 at 10 am on Friday 26/5/1995 after the launch had
been postponed 3 times due to weather.
