The Australian Senate Economics Committee tabled their report into Australia's
Space Science and Industry sector on 12 November 2008.

I urge all ASRI members to read it and it can be found at:

http://www.aph.gov.au/Senate/committee/economics_ctte/space_08/report/report.pdf >

ASRI activities are mentioned in the report several times in a positive light. >

TIME IS UP FOR FEDSAT AFTER 1 BILLION KMS AND 20,000 ORBITS

Following almost 20,000 orbits with just over one billion kilometres traveled, communication with Australia's only public satellite has ceased.

FedSat is a 58kg microsatellite that has a low-earth-orbit and follows a near polar sun-synchronous path. It was launched from Japan in December 2002.
